Other celebrities usually credit their toned and healthy body to the sacrifices and efforts they make but Drew Barrymore is keeping it real by acknowledging that the feat was because of her trainer. In a lengthy post to celebrate Wellness Week, the actress shared how instrumental the fitness expert was in her impressive and admirable transformation.
The Charlie’s Angels star called her coach Marnie Alton her dear important pal and a long time teacher, who greatly helped her in her preparation for a role. That’s not all, Drew’s friend also healed her and encouraged her when she was giving up.
Drew, who has been friends with the expert for 15 years, sought the help of Marnie when she bagged the role of Sheila Hammond, the half of the real estate couple in the hit but now-canceled Netflix zombie comedy show Santa Clarita Diet. She went on to narrate that she would train every spring to get into the shape she needed.

Her and her trainer’s efforts paid off because Drew lost a whopping 20 pounds! But in her post, the Flower Beauty founder didn’t just praise the fitness coach for aiding her in successfully shedding extra pounds, she also paid tribute to Marnie, whom she described as the most amazing person.
Drew also commended Marnie for being knowledgeable about the human body and went on to inspire others by advising them to find themselves and be healthy both in their minds and hearts. The series of photos showed what seemed like a before-and-after photo of 50 First Dates actress sweating it out and even poems that encourage everyone to love their bodies.

The star of the hit show that focused on a family with a mother who turned into a flesh-eating-creature-but-still-has-conscience has never shied about the weight transformation she made during the course of the highly celebrated series. In March 2018, Drew revealed that she wanted Sheila to showcase the realities of changes she had to go through after becoming a zombie.
Coincidentally, it was also a rough time for Drew, who had just gone separate ways with his former husband Will Kopelman. Starting the show at 145 pounds, she asked the showrunner if her character could show different changes: from being naïve to unhappy to empowered.

Last year, the veteran thespian also talked about her struggles of losing weight after she had kids. Drew revealed that she had to give her all just to shed the extra pounds and she also underlined how motherhood can affect one’s body.
