These days, not many people get to boast that they’ve been in love with the same person for over five decades. Pauline Collins isn’t like other people, and she most certainly, and proudly, can say that she has been happily married to actor John Alderton for 52 years.
The couple resides in Hampstead, London, and have been empty nesters for a long time as their children are now well into their 40s. Even though she is now 80 years old, the Upstairs, Downstairs star is yet to retire. In fact, it has been announced that she will play Beatrice in Byrd and the Bees soon.
